Shawn is a Toronto filmmaker and an alumnus of York University’s Film Production and Screenwriting program. Shawn’s work as a director has focused on making films about characters confronted with challenges and crises of racial, sexual, and personal identity.
Shawn has been working professionally for three years as a post-production supervisor at Kensington Communications and Sinking Ship Entertainment for documentary and dramatic television shows airing on BBC, CTV, History, TVO, PBS, Nick Jr and Amazon. During this time Shawn has developed not only as a creative voice, but as a dedicated department head driven to deliver polished, professional content to broadcasters around the world on time and of the highest technical standard.
Currently Shawn’s film Daddy’s Little Girl is airing on the Shorts HD network in the United States after screening at film festivals across Canada. Isaiah’s Birthday is in consideration at film festivals world-wide, his latest film 5PiX is in post-production, his feature film Shadows is in development and he is currently writing two other feature films.
